Daily Announcements

A. RCSS Kindergarten Registration for the 2015-2016 School Year is Now Open!Parents may register your child for Kindergarten online.  Richmond County Elementary Schools will host a Kindergarten Roundup on Monday, May 11th from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm.  Parents and students will have an opportunity to visit their child's zoned school and bring registration documentation.  For more information, click here

B.  Field Day for PreK, Kindergarten, 1st Grade and 2nd Grade will be Thursday, May 7 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
 & Field Day for 3rd, 4th and 5th Grades will be Friday, May 8th from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m.

C.  P.T.O  - Tuesday, May 12 at 6:30 pm - 1st and 2nd Grade Program, Dance Team, and Parent Recognition

D.  Honors days will be held as follows:

       May14th                                May 15th                                    May 21st

PreK    -       9 am Kindergarten -   9 am                  5th Grade - 9:30 am
1st Grade - 10 am 3rd Grade     - 10 am     (Our Cafeteria)
2nd Grade -  1 pm 4th Grade     -   1 pm
   (These Honors will be at the Gracewood Hospital Auditorium.)


E.  The End of Year AR Celebration for all those students meeting or exceeding their AR goal for the year will be held on May 20th after lunch.


F. Summer School Information (Coming Soon)



The Georgia Parent School Climate Survey is modeled after the student survey and contains 24 questions. Parents will be able to complete the survey using their personal computers, smartphones or iPads. All parents are encouraged to participate in the Georgia Parent Survey because the data will be used to calculate the School Climate Star Rating; however, there is no mandatory participation rate for parents.  Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis.
